I am not sure what you mean but if you are asking how you can get a MIDI file to load up assigned to channels of the plug-in Halion Sonic do this:

* goto the plug-ins window, right click on Halion Sonic and select 'multitimbral'
* Instantiate the plug-in by selecting it in the plug-in column of the graphic editor or tracks window
* change the output of track 1 to 'port: Halion Sonic '
* Import a MIDI file

If I do not understand your question, please re-phrase it.

Hello françois,

Are you trying to use standard midi files and want them to use the sounds from Halion Sonic? Is that what you mean?

Does Halion Sonic Support the GM standard? I don't own the plugin, but it sounds like you would have to reassign the patches to tracks of the midi files.
By the way: I'm not Jeremi :):):)

That's what it sounds like from what I'm reading on their site.

What you would have to do is reassign the sound from Halion corresponding to the patch of the midi file(s), you may have to re adjust the sound to get it to sound right, then save the project.

I bet they're good.

When you play the modified files live, do you run the laptop or you bounce to audio (MP3)?

I was just curious about running the laptop or not.

That's one thing I can say about Metro. The program just runs and runs and runs. There are times when I'm on a project for 4-5 days, sometime 7 or 8 without ever quitting the application and I do tend to forget to save and never an issue.
I personally think, it's one of the most stable DAW on the market.

Anyway,
Let me know how you make out with Halion. Shoot me an email when you have a chance, I would like to hear the modified midi files if you don't mind.

I'd greatly appreciate it if you can.
