Hi.
Sounds like you want to make a karaoke version of the song.
It's not that easy to do and even if you manage to remove the vocal, the music wont sound as good anymore.

1) The vocal as to be in the center of a stereo file.
2) If there's too much reverb and or delay on the vocal lead, it'll do you no good at all.

You can try this app (Transcribe). It has a karaoke feature in the preference window. It is uncrippled and will work for 30 days.

Good luck

Also you can try this or better yet you can redo the music from scratch using Metro of course

It seems a better option.

Let us know how it works out

In Transcribe, after you load the song into it, click the "FX" button, then, the "Mono/Karaoke" tab. Tick the "Active" radio button and select "Karaoke."

"Redoing the music from scratch" I meant record the music yourself. :)

Have you tried the other link I sent you?

What's the matter? You can record the song? Just joking

Can I hear the song somewhere. Maybe youtube or something?

What's the Title of the song and artist name?

It sounds like pretty old material. I tried to tinker with one of them myself with not much luck.

I don't know what your music abilities are but Transcribe will slow down the MP3 without changing the pitch of the music so, you can hear what is going on in the song and redo/record the music yourself. I do that everyday, but again, I don't know what your abilities are and Just trying to help you the best I can.

Just another piece of information. In transcribe, after you load the song and set it into karaoke mode, use the built in EQ. That might help too.

How soon do you need them?

Yes, I just tested another one on this end and getting pretty much the same results.

The reason why I asked how soon you needed them, is because I was going to the background music for you if, you didn't mind (free of charge of course), but Saturday is right around the corner. If it was 3-4 weeks from now, it wouldn't have been a problem and would have had them done maybe in a week and half.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
