Something wrong with groove quantize?

Postby Paul » Fri Oct 30, 2009 4:10 pm

I record two bars of music, go to the quantize menu and select "Groove named: 16th triplet". What I end up with then is a bunch of notes played on beat 1 of the first bar (all together) and a bunch of notes all played on beat 1 of the third bar (which wasn't even there before).

Is this a bug? When I quantize using 16th notes (so no 'groove named'), there is no problem.

Problem occurs on both midi and virtual instrument tracks. I'm on a G5, using 10.5.8.

Hello Paul,

Thanks for the report. It seems to work okay for me. What version of Metro are you using? You could try removing your preferences file.

Hi Jerm,

I'm on 6.4.8.

Where can I find the preference file you're refering to? If you want, I could email you some pictures of what's happening.

OK, I removed the preferences file. When I launch Metro I get the qualification screen but it says "Invalid serial number!".

As far as I know this is a correct serial number for 6.2 (received way back in 2005). Do I need another serial number for 6.4?

Yes, you need your 6.4 serial number. Email to info (at) sagantech.biz to recover your latest serial number if you cannot find it.

Jerm,

trashing the preferences did the trick. Groove quantize works fine now. Unfortunately, I'm now having a hard time remembering exactly what my preferences were...

Thanks!
