This song, REMontage was created in Metro 6.x using only the following plugins:

PianoTeq 1 (piano)
Scorpion (bass)
Sampletank 2 (strings).

This song makes extensive use of Metro's Rhythm Explorer, hence the name. It is encoded in fairly high quality MP3 so you may need a fast connection.

Let me know what you think!

Very nice! Impressive use of the Rhythm Explorer!

(However, the extreme quantization makes the piano sound very unrealistic and "MIDI-esque" in some parts of the song. A little "Human Feel" applied after the Rhythm Explorer wouldn't hurt.)

Cool . . . I like it! I hear slightly different things each time I listen. Kind of hypnotic, in a way.

Following Durumbrain's suggestion I have added some humanization and I think his criticism was constructive. I have updated the link above. Do you think this is an improvement?

Very nice composition and enjoyable performance. Sounds "classical" (Mozart/Bach). Nice ending fade.

Well yes. I have been meaning to post each song as soon as it is finished but there is way too much. I hope to post much more as much of it is pretty good and it shows what particular plug-ins can do.

In the meantime I have posted a few pieces and will post more here. Feedback welcomed.

Hello Sir,
I really enjoyed the track you posted today. It's on the 5th replay right now and I'm finding it very soothing. Everything seems to be very well balanced and nothing is out of place, plus I got to hear Zebra and Drumcore-That means more $$$ out:):):)

Veri nice indeed. Got more?

Well thank you. Yes there are plenty more. Most are not available online but from the blog site you can click on the music category and get a taste.

As for Zebra, I cannot recommend it more fully. Drumcore also is incredible for getting realistic sounding drum tracks, because, for the most part, the drums are played by real drummers.

After listening to this little gem, “Nordic Wavedorf” created in 2009 using five instances of U-he Zebra 2, an instance of Drum Core 3, fed through IK Multimedia’s TrackS 1, I got the urge to post it so anyone could have a listen.
