Looping doesn't work with LX 6.4.8

Postby Stephanie » Tue Sep 15, 2009 10:35 am

Hi:

For some reason, looping selected bars of a MIDI file no longer works with 6.4.8. Clicking the Loop button in the transport plays the selection once, then stops. The Looping dialog drops back to play once every time I close it. There's no audio involved in this file.

Snow Leopard, Metro LX 6.4.8; everything else unchanged and used to work fine.

Is this a bug, or could I have inadvertently tweaked a setting that I can't find any more?

Hello Stephanie,

This is most likely not a bug. I believe what you are doing is Cueing. As opposed to looping, cueing is applied across all tracks and is performed by clicking the cue button in the transport. In order to have it repeatedly cue, you need to be sure that the 'cue loop' button, in the transport, is highlighted. Looping is what individual tracks do.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue.

Yes, that's restored the behaviour I'm used to. Funny, I can't recall having hit the cue loop button - ever...

Thanks for the tip!
