Some question before purchasing

Postby marchseventh » Mon Jun 08, 2009 4:22 am

Hey,

I'm finding a mac sequencer which has the simular functions with cake walk pro audio 9. Because I'm working with GM Midi data now. What I need is I have to make some tracks blank in the midi file. Say, I may export a midi file with 5 tracks, Track 1-blank; track -2 blank; track -3 has note events; track 4 - has note events; track 5- blank. Also I need the track name blank. I have downloaded the demo but I can't make the track name blank can I?

I can't export the midifile by demo, Does anyboday can tell me if I can make that kind of midi file by the Metro? If so I will ask my boss to buy it.

Thanks
Best

Hello March,

Well you can definitely write the file with blank tracks however there is currently code in there that will write the word 'Untitled' into the MIDI file's track name for any track that has nothing (or only spaces) in the track name field. However this is changed in the next version so that it will output what you see in the tracks window.

You could put an option-space in the track name.
