I wanted to remember that there was a way to take a track (e.g. piano both hands) and split it into both a treble and bass clef. I can't find reference to it in the documentation, and there aren't any menu items that seem to apply. Is this something I can do, or am I hallucinating software features again?

Nice topic title. At first I thought it was spam.

Well, yes. In the graphic editor you can easily use the forceps tool to select the range of notes to be the bass track (or treble) and then use select-all to select them all. Then use cut and then paste to place the data on a new track.

This may be a problem if the bass and treble tracks do not have a specific breakpoint but should be close.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks. Maybe I get too whimsical with the titling on these things.

Unfortunately no, there is no consistent cutoff point between treble and bass, and what's more, it looks like the composer was sitting too far to the left when he first played the blasted thing. What I ultimately did was create a new staff, bass clef, and band-selected, cut, and pasted those notes that belonged on it. The end result is a sheet music that, more or less, resembles the original.

Now all I need is the parody/alternative lyrics (which someone else is working on), then I can print the sheet music to PDF and send it back.
