Sidechain compression... how?

Postby Paul » Mon Jul 23, 2007 3:25 pm

I'm using the free DualComp Compressor from Teragon Audio and I'm wondering how to get it to work. Can you tell me if it is at all possible to use a sidechain compressor plugin in Metro? When I insert the plugin in an audio track, I can't seem to get the output of another audio track streamed into to plugin on the first track as a sidechain signal. I would have thought an output option like 'DualCompSideChain' would be available in the outputs menu but I don't see it.

I am not familiar with the plug-in you mention.

Metro supports only stereo-in to plug-ins so if you need more than that it will not work at the current time. You can use the aux buss feature to route mono from one track into the plug-in and mono from another track as well.

Not sure if that is helpful.
