Postby mark scheel » Wed Mar 21, 2007 10:56 am

i noticed a random displacement when doing the following

rerecord a click track and switch to record mode while metro
is already running. the recorded material seems to be off
in timing sometimes.

2 i cant get punch out to work the sequencer stops everytime
i use the punch mode no matter what option in choose in record dialog.

any ideas?

thank you

1. We are looking into this but we need more information. Are you using any plug-ins? What audio hardware are you using?

2. It stops at the punch out time or before it even records? I just tried it with version 6.3.8.5, just released, and it did stop at the punch out time but the audio was punched in fine.

same result here

in 6.3.8.5 rerecording a click on my mac powerbook g4 worked just fine

haven t tried with my motu 828 yet.

punch out point still stops the sequencer althoug the 'stop at punch out time' item is unchecked.

Thank you for finding this bug. It has now been fixed. On-the-fly recording has never been sample accurate. Unfortunately this fix, making it sample accurate, requires too many changes to make it into Metro until version 6.4. I don't want to introduce new problems in 6.3 as the feature set of that product is now frozen.
