chapter tracks

is it possible to export markers to a quicktime file and retrieve them as inside a chapter track? I don't think so, but it would be superb!
Currently it would be great to be able to simply copy the marker window content or to export it as a file...

It is currently not possible to export markers to a movie but it should work to a MIDI file.

I am not sure what you are looking for. How would quicktime player retrieve markers anyway?

I'd like to obtain with Metro what is inherent to GarageBand: Podcast or VideoCast export. As a composer for movies it's easy for me, with that format, to show what I have done: the film maker has only to have QuickTime on his computer for exploring my music on his film thanks to chapters function.
If it is not in your intend, the fact to be able to copy as text what is inside the markers window would be a good advancement: I'd be able to make my own cooking.
Of course I could use GarageBand but I don't feel comfortable with polygamy

Then I import that text into QuickTime player Pro , I copy the result and paste it inside the movie. With Command+J I transform the text track into Chapter. Now I can use the chapter function inside my movie.

To copy the markers in text format or to have an export as text from the markers window would not be very difficult to add. Please add a feature request in this forum if that is your intention.

In Metro the last SMPTE field is a bit field that ranges from 0 to 80. Is that what QT is looking for or is it a percent?

I only know that we must specify the number of frames/second with
{timeScale:25} or {timeScale:30} etc.
So, in [00:04:02.23] ".23" is the number of frames, not the bit field. QuickTime dances to a different drummer and uses a period and not a colon to represent the frames.

Sorry. I was wrong. Metro does not display the bit field. The last item is the frame number.
