The help files says there is one, but I don't see it.

Not in the Menus-->PLUS INS.
Nor in the Window. Plus mackie plugins do not work

What am I missing?

The chorus the (very old) help file was referring to is for OS 9. For OS X on powerpc try MonstaChorus which is free.
