Patch banks acting wrong in 6.3.7

Postby Stephanie » Sat Oct 28, 2006 9:01 am

I have a patch map file (Kurzweil.ins) that represents GM patches plus everything available on a Kurzweil K2500. Worked perfectly up to Metro LX 6.3.6; select a bank, the associated patches showed up and were correctly set.

Under 6.3.7, I can't select Kurzweil bank 0; it always shows up as General MIDI. I also can't reliably select any oher bank (e.g. Kurzweil Piano ROM, bank 7); sometimes it's the previous bank, someimes it's GM.

I tried reloading under Program Names but no luck.

Please help! Christmas is coming and I have a ton of music to work on!! Or at least put up the LX 6.3.6 installer again!

Hello Stephanie,

Please email me the .ins file that does not work properly. Alternatively, you could send me your Metro preferences file.

I doubt that 6.3.6 will fix this problem as nothing has changed, to the best of my knowledge, regarding bank changes to MIDI devices. If you would like I could email you the 6.3.6 installer to verify this though.

Stephanie,

Thanks. Yes it is definitely a bug in 6.3.7. I will have some new installers posted later today. I will post here after they are up on the server.
