Curious why OS 9 support removed from SE 6.3.7/6 ?

Was Metro SE 6.2.2.1 the last version that worked in OS 9 ?

OS 9 support was removed so that we can concentrate on development for the products that we have. The way it is now we can build all 6 products, Metro, LX, SE and the corresponding demos, on any machine be it PowerPC or Intel. Since there are no development tools that will build products for both Intel Macs and OS 9 it would be a nightmare to build for OS 9 now. And then there is testing.

OK, fair enough.

Was Metro SE 6.2.2.1 the last version that worked in OS 9 ? or which was the last Metro SE that supported OS 9?

( I use Metro SE OS 9 version on a "legacy" Mac. )
