Can't hear through my MAC when inputting/digitizizing audio

Postby SongORoland » Thu Sep 28, 2006 2:55 am

I'm transferring my analogue tapes to digital through Metro.
Input and output seem to be working okay, but not during the recording.

In doing so, everything is fine, except I can't hear the audio as it's inputting into the computer (Using Line-In, which looks fine -- shows movement when looking at the volume bars in System Preferences/Sound/Input/Input Level).

After it's grabbed, it's no problem. I can play the grab and I can hear it coming through my computer speakers.

Is there a way to listen when recording through the Line-In?

Thanks.

If you have the full version you can use software audio through. In any case, an external mixer is recommended for monitoring.

When you say the 'full version' you mean the top version?

I have Metro SE 6.3.5.5

Software audio thru does not exist for this then. I looked on the following page and my menu does not match that one.

That's fine. I can listen externally.

Thanks.

Yes, we have 3 Metro products, SE, LX and the full version.
