Hi I am a new tech with a university and was recently put incharge of setting up a MIDI lab for the music department. We are running Metro 6 on Intel -based Mac Minis and are using Motu USB/Midi interfaces to connect to a Roland XP-30 keyboard. I have setup the MIDI using Audio MIDI Setup in OSX and it tested OK but when I try to use the Roland through Metro, it does not recognize that it is receiving MIDI input. I know nothing of MIDI or of the Metro program really and could use a hand getting it running. Anybody want to walk me through it?

If it tests ok in AMS then you probably need to make sure that in Metro's MIDI Setup you have XP-30 selected in the record from popup.

Also, to see input you will need to select XP-30 as an output for track 1 in the tracks window and record-enable track 1.
