Save drum map?

Postby rbenson » Mon Feb 20, 2006 10:09 am

I'm using Metro 5 on OS 9.2.2. Do any of the newer versions of Metro support saving a transposition map? I'm needing to change GM drum maps to Kurzweil layout? Any way to do this is Metro without having to enter a whole remap layout each time?

If not, any ideas on how to do this efficiently?

Thanks,
Rusty

P.S. Jerm, please consider adding this feature. It seems that many sequencers have it. Why not Metro?

The standard way this is done in Metro is to create a drum set (map) using the drum set editor and then option-select the drum set in the graphic editor to have it transpose to the new set.

When creating the destination drum set (kurtzweil) be sure to use the same names as defined in the source set.

Thanks, Jerm. Believe it or not I spent weeks transposing about 90 drum files (song length) manually. And even then there alot of clean up to do.

Is this feature documented in the help files? I've looked everywhere for this. If not, it should be highlighted. This is great feature.

Thanks again,
Rusty (hardworking, but boneheaded)

Well, sometimes it helps to ask. It is documented on this page.
