Graphic Editor opens to wrong track

Postby Krushzone » Fri Dec 30, 2005 3:33 pm

Don't know if this is a bug or a feature setting problem.

Having problem whereby...

The Graphic Editor Window opens to display the wrong track(s).

For example: Double-clicking on track Name (in Tracks Window) envokes the Graphic Editor Window but it displays the wrong track - (a different track than the one that was double-clicked).

For example 2: Selecting (highlighting) multiple adjacent audio regions (in Tracks Window) and then selecting Windows\Graphic Editor (or Apple-J) opens erroneous tracks rather than the selected regions.

This may occur if you have a multi-pane graphic editor setup zoomed to a track that is not the current track. Is this the case?

To fix it unzoom the graphic editor pane.

That is possible. I thought all graphic editing functions were deactivated when I closed (X) the Graphic Editor window. I will try unzooming each time prior to closing graphic editing.
Thanks.

Unfortunately, this has not resolved my issue whereby...
While in the tracks window, when I select (highlight & double-click) audio region(s) (on single or multiple tracks) to edit, the graphic-editor window opens to display the previous view, rather than displaying the new regions(s)\track(s) I had selected when I double-clicked.

Any other thoughts to fix this?
Thanks,
PK

I am not sure if this a bug report, feature request or a misunderstanding. Metro will not (currently) open multiple tracks in the graphic editor when they are selected and double clicked upon from the tracks window. It will (or at least should) open the track that is double clicked upon in the graphic editor unless that track is currently hidden in the graphic editor. A track can be hidden if it was selected in a viewable pane and then a different pane was zoomed. To make the track viewable the zoomed in pane must first be unzoomed.

If this is not happening and you can consistently repeat it. I would like instructions on exactly how I can repeat the problem.
