If I have used a soft synth in a document, and then want to use a plugin or six, I can't clear the synth from a. The pop up window in the Graphic editor, or b. by deleting it from the Effects/Synths window. In both cases it shows it as having "Gone", but it seems not to have
The only way that I can do it is by undoing the Insert from the Edit menu.
That's fine with a new document, or , I presume with a saved one without either synth, or plugins, but if I've opened a previously saved document that already has a synth saved with it, I'm stuffed, if I should want to use a plugin in SE, which warns me that I can only use 2 synths OR up to 8 plugins. Not both together.
Am I being dumb here? I'm working through the manual, stage by stage, to get it right, but I haven't found a way to overcome this one yet.
Also:
The OS X VST plug-ins folder alias does not point to the 'Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST'.
In fact it can't find the original.
Is this because I'm running Metro from a partition on the HD?
I don't even get the option to fix the alias.
However, Metro is finding the plug-ins from 'Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST', and they, with the exception of the Waves Audiotrack VST plug in, work OK.
If I should try to load the Waves plug-in, Metro Crashes, every time.
I can't move the plug-ins to the alias folder, obviously, because it's an "orphan"
Is this a situation where I create a new OSX VST plug-ins alias in the Metro folder pointing to Library/audio/plug-ins/VST, accordiing to the "Read Me OS X" ?
Hoping for some help
Chris
