I have had an even more severe problem with Apple AU effects. Everytime I add one on an audio track, or sometimes only when I play a track with one of the effects, Metro quits and I get the standard OS X bug report message.

I am running Metro 6.2.2 G4 on an iMac G5 in OS 10.3.9

The problems begun after I installed a new AU-plugin. I don't know if it was a coincidence. I have tried to delete the new plugin and repair permissions. I have also restarted the computer (several times).

As noted earlier in this thread, this issue has been resolved as of 6.2.7.

If you go to the console utility program you can send me a crash log but first try the same procedure in metro 6.3.1.1 first.

Tried it in 6.3.1.1 and it worked! I were a little intimidated by the whole "pre-release"-deal, but everything runs fine.

pre-release means although it may get rid of the bug it describes, it hasn't been fully tested and through all compatible OS versions.

It could also mean that the fix may cause other problems, but if you're suffering from the bug in question, I would jump to the pre release straight away, keeping the older version on disk in a compressed version.

Out of all the pre-releases, I have only ever had one bad experience and it was Jaguar specific........and fixed within 48 hours. :)
