Sagan Technology Metro • View topic - Notation.

Notation.

Please post any ideas for new features in Metro or Metro SE here.

Notation.

I wsih Metro 6 LX and SE had simple notation.

I know that the full version of Metro 6 has notation however I really don't need all the other features.

That is to say Metro 6 LX and SE features are just right with the hope that a simple notation feature could be included.

I think you would upset more than a few Metro users, if SE and LX got Notation, especially if they bought the full version for it.

In a way you have notation........you just don't see it.
You can select note length in the graphic editor and draw it onscreen.

I.

Perhaps.

Perhaps there could be 2 levels of notation offerred.
Meaning that in the full Metro version there should be the ability to do engraver quality and Finale abilities to create notation scores whereas in the SE/LX just simple no frills notation.

I've tried the "demo" Metro and was not too impressed with the notation capabilities albeit that would relate to my requirements.

However I still don't understand why programmes such as Harmony/Melody Assistant has notation and the cost of those programmes an increadable bargin. ( Incidently, I don't work for those guys. )

Before I get too many people angry at Sagan Technology Metro I still like to use and do use Metro LX/SE: sans notation.

Murphy,

I don't think anybody is getting upset over this topic. After all it is just a reasoned request.

Perhaps you could purchase the program you mentioned above and use it in conjuction with Metro. I presume that it does standard import and export of MIDI files.
