2 movies? and mpegs

Is there a way to see 2 movies at once....or is there only 1 movie window available?


Bringing a movie into Metro splits the video and audio onto seperate tracks..........and you can see the audio levels in the mixer.

Bringing in a mpeg you don't get the split, you can hear the audio but there are no levels in the mixer. Is this cause it's unsupported?

You cannot view more than one movie at a time with Metro.

This is because Quicktime does give the application access to the interleaved audio and video data from an MPeg video. Your best bet is to no edit using MPeg. Only output to it as a last step.

Remember, when you edit a video file that was compressed using a lossy video codec (where data is removed to reduce file size), you degrade the quality again by re-compressing it during export. It's always best to work with the cleanest, least compressed video when editing.
