"Snap to Grid" in Graphic Editor w/ "Audio Ed

Postby Industro » Fri Jan 28, 2005 6:22 pm

Maybe I'm missing it. (This seems like it should be an obvious capability).

Is there are way to "snap to grid" (1/4 note, 1/8 note, etc.) when using the "Audio Edit Regions" feature in the graphic editor window?

I want to slide my audio regions into new locations within the track, but I want it to "snap" to the proper note timing (right now, it just drops anywhere I release it).

Is there a way to do this?

(I'm not talking about the "snap" menu in the Track Window).

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! ;)

No. File a feature request if you would like this feature. The problem is that most audio regions hit point is not at the beginning of the region.

If you double click on the region you will get an edit dialog and in that you can specify the starting point in terms of bar, beat and clock. Although if you have a lot of regions this could be tedious. I usually eyeball it.
