What is the quickest/fastest/safest way to bring 4.0 and 5.0 projects into 6.0.

Thanks!

Rick,

If the projects are on the same machine, open them. If they are on different machines then the best way is to save the old project as a Metro Bundle file. This will include all audio referenced by the file and when the bundle file is re-opened all audio files are recreated. It is a good idea to make backups in the form of bundle files as well.

Metro 6 and Metro 5 on same machine

Postby rickchaff » Sat Mar 22, 2003 10:04 am

I've recently upgraded to 6 and I suppose I should have removed all of 5 before doing so.

- If I launch a 5 or 6 Metro Doc from the document Icon I get an error -39 message.

- If I try to open a Metro 5 doc from within 6 I get and error 2 message.

Should I remove 5 completly and then reinstall 6?

Thanks

Rick

-39 error when opening pre-Metro 6 files or bundles.

Postby Jerm » Mon Dec 01, 2003 1:59 pm

I have recently seen a -39 error when trying to open some old bundle files. It is apparently a bug since Metro 6 :( an artifact from updating the compiler. It is now fixed in 6.1.0.5. 8)
