Problem with recording using wait mode

Postby fastlanephil » Thu Dec 16, 2004 11:16 pm

When recording using SampleTank 2, if you record a track using the wait mode in the count-off the recorded tracks don't play while you are recording . My Yamaha piano does so it's just the virtual voices not playing back while recording. There is no problem when using the other count-off modes.

Do you have Sampletank 2 on an aux buss?

If it is not, then that is your problem. The record track is getting muted and if this has Sampletank 2 on it then none of the other tracks assigned to ST2 will play either.

Problem with recording using wait mode

Postby fastlanephil » Fri Dec 17, 2004 11:08 pm

Yes, I do have ST2 on a aux bus. I tried a number of changes with a test file and lastly took it off the aux bus and guess what. The recorded tracks now play while I record with wait mode. If you can't replicate this then is there any chance it has something to do with my iMac G5?

This has been corrected. There was also a problem, in wait mode: all audio tracks would be effectively muted during recording.
