IMPORTANT: The official system requirements have changed as of 6.1.
IMPORTANT: Metro Documents written with this version will NOT be readable in any version prior to Metro/Metro SE version 6.2.1!
IMPORTANT: This is a pre-release, meaning it has some bug fixes (and possibly features) that were deemed important enough to be released before it could be rigorously tested.
The following list includes changes to Metro, Metro SE and Metro LX. Some changes may not be applicable to specific products.
New to version 6.2.1.6:
• Fixed: A problem introduced in 6.2.1.3 whereby if the qualification dialog appeared upon startup, later Quicktime would hang under certain circumstances.
• Fixed: Audio monitoring was not turned on when the jukebox stopped playing leaving a stuck VU meter.
• Fixed: A problem where a popup was not popping up (OS X only) in the modify-outputs-and-busses dialog after an audio output was selected in the jukebox window.
New to version 6.2.1.5:
• New: Better compatibility with plug-ins that generate their own note or drum data, for example Glaresoft's iDrum or PowerFX's Miracle drums.
• New: If a single MIDI file is dragged to the graphic editor window it will now be added to the current section. Previously this would load the MIDI file in a new section. This does have the side effect of adding section events (tempos, time signatures) to the current section.
• Fixed: Inserting first and second endings in the notation view would cause a crash.
• Fixed: The jukebox was not playing back .Wav files correctly if their sample rates were not 44kHz.
• Fixed: Metro would quit (thanks QuickTime!) when the jukebox encountered a .M4P file (iTunes protected file) during scanning.
• Fixed: Digital audio overviews were not correct if the section contained tempo changes. This bug was introduced in a recent pre-release.
• Fixed: When a note's duration was being dragged (via shift-click) and that note was on a track that contains both MIDI and Audio, the note end time was not being displayed properly in the upper left of the graphic editor.
• Fixed: minor cosmetic problems in the graphic editor.
• Fixed: Tempo changes were not being reported to plug-ins during mixing or rendering.
• Fixed: Effect automation is now taken into account when calculating the length of a track.
• Fixed: A crash could occur if the event editor was following playback and automation was inserted via the mixer window's contextual menu.
• Fixed: Delete and Insert Time now work on plug-in automation data on a track.
• Fixed: Grids were not drawn in the graphic editor for time signature 1/4.
