There may be an issue with the zoom in and out buttons on an audio track.....which wasn't in the previous release.

If I change the track to internal and back to audio I get them refreshed, but zooming in and out doesn't do updating of the bars.

Can you give more explicit directions. I cannot repeat this.

It seems very random.......in the resulting screen.

I just import an audio track (aiff) and click on the 2 buttons shaded yellow. Look at where bar 7 is on this one.

Perhaps it is an upload corruption or something. Which version did you download?

G4.

Another point.

If you have the graphic editor open and you see your stereo waveform, Add a track with the 'plus' button and you get another track, the new track has part of your original waveform on it and when you zoom in and out, the bar lines on the new track don't move......only the original.

If you select the 'blank' area of the new track and drag the track redraws to match the bar lines above.

I do not know what you are talking about. Try downloading again and reboot your computer. I cannot repeat any of these. Also try the non-G4 version.

I removed all plugins, removed add on parts in the system prefs and tried one more thing.

Took Metro across to one of my internet cafe imacs running panther.

Problem fixed.

So what is metro doing in panther it isn't doing in Jaguar 10.2.6?
Is it worth going to 10.2.8? I have heard of problems with it which is why I've stuck with 10.2.6 so long.

It would be a shame to think of Metro working in 9 but not Jaguar. :(
I don't really wanna spend the money on panther now with tiger round the corner....which looks like a must have.

Ok, cool. I will check into jaguar to see if that is the problem.

Ok yes. This is a very serious Jaguar bug. Unfortunately it happens when implementing an important optimization to speed up drawing so for now we will only do this optimization in Panther and beyond. Sorry for any inconvenience. I will have 6.2.1.2 posted soon...

Thanks.

Works fine.

Does this mean the CPU load is back at 100% like it was before the optimizations?

No. There are several other optimization that will definitely improve performance, even for Jaguar  users.
