OK. I have a Korg X5D and the audio L/R channel audio is connected to channels 7/8 of digi001. If I setup a midi track I seem to be able to record the midi notes ok but i can't hear anything. Yes, I would hear it if I route the audio L/R to my output mixer, that's no problem but that's not how I have set it up with Protools. In protools I have a AUX track for the sole purpose of monitoring the audio. this way the audio never gets recorded as audio data. Only the midi is edited/recorded. Once I am ready to record the audio in the main mix that is no problem afterwards.
I'm trying to do the same thing with Metro since that's what I'm familiar with.
Another problem is I tried to get the "general midi" patch names to show up following the instructions on page 3-20 of the manual "Customizing Program Names". But there is no file anywhere named "General Midi". I don't seem to have a "Progam Names Folder" within the Metro application?
