Tell me what kind of info you need exactly and I'll provide you with it. I have tried the Reason demo song. If I wasn't such a level-headed guy, this would drive me crazy... :)

For more info I would like to know:
Reason should be in ReWire mode and should have launched when Metro launched or when Rewire-on was selected from the special menu.
It did right?

Is there a master out fader level from Rewire?

Is there a Aux out fader level from the ReWire Aux buss in Metro?

Did you try routing the aux buss to built-in audio?

I'm seeing exactly the same problem here, Reason receives midi and shows auidio playing internally, but no sound is heard through the aux bus in Metro.

Do you see a level in the aux buss?

Yes. I've tried this on 3 different machines in 5 different OS's and they all work. I need a way to reproduce this problem.

Do you have the default song loaded in Reason?

I'm using my default rack with NNXT samplers, synths, etc.

I'm supposed to set the track output port to a Reason instrument, right? As in 'Subtractor 1'?

You shouldn't have to.

If you simply press the space bar it should play at least a measure of the reason demo song.

Nope, no matter what I do, no audio. REason/Rewire works fine when used with Tracktion and Garageband though. I haven't tried Metro with either of those apps yet though. Tempo sync does work though.

What a drag.

Ok I have reproduced this problem. It has to do with multiple ReWire devices. 6.2.0.1 will have a device selector where you can select the ReWire slave.

Call it beginners' luck, but I got Metro and Rewire to play together using Rewire. I'm not all that familiar with what I should expect from Rewire. From everything that I've read, it is a way to connect two programs that have the capabilities of using "Rewire". One should be the "master" and one should be the "slave". Metro being the master, and Live being the slave.
From reading this thread, I understand that Rewire should show up in the "Aux 1" of Metro. Is this all that happens within Metro using Rewire? Does Rewire not create separate tracks within the Metro program for all of the tracks used in Live to be able to use Metro as a "mixer"? If you want to adjust the mix from Live, do you alternate between Metro and Live to do the "mixing" to get it the way you want it to sound?

Sorry, if I sound confused, because I am.....:?
Thanks for any feedback.

Sincerely,

Ronnie

Does this mean that I should stop trying and wait for 6.2.0.1? I still find it strange that some people have this problem and others don't...

Yes. Metro 6.2 will only work for the first ReWire device and since yours is Live, Reason will not work. If you were to uninstall Live, and I am not recommending this, then Reason will work.

We are working hard to get 6.2.0.1 out ASAP and it will definitely fix this problem. You will be able to select the slave from a menu. Instead of Rewire-On there will be a submenu that could look like:

None
------
Live
Reason
etc.
