moving songs in the section window

Postby françois » Mon Mar 22, 2004 10:00 am

Would it be possible to move more than one song at time in the section window ?

One I have to create a song repertoire, often I have to move a lot of songs and one buy one, it's boring.

Another request : would it be possible to change the color background for a group of songs ?

thanks

The reason this is being delayed is because undo would have be rewritten to restore all sections (sequences) and this could possibly introduce bugs.

I am not sure what you mean here. Which background? In the sections window? Do you mean the triangle color? Please provide a sample image if possible.

A possible workaround - Could Metro detect multiple moves, and bring up a dialog warning that this is undo-able?

I mean, in the section window columns, the colors are always the same, it will be nice to be able to select different colors for example for : slows, rocks, marchs..... would it be alse possible to have largers columns in the sections windows to write more texts in each line ?
would it be also possible to define the " auto start " for each song, and not for all the songs ? ( it's on the top of the sections windows " for ex, I want a auto run between the song ° 25 and 26, but not between the song N° 27 and 28 .....

Please post each individual feature requests in separate categories.

As for the moving and/or deleting of multiple sections at once, this has been improved in 6.2.1.

The best way would be to wait for 6.2.1 to be pre-released. Then download it, install, select multiple sections by shift-clicking and then drag.

hello jerm,
sorry to update this post, but it's impossible for me to drag multiple songs up and down in the windows section .... we I arrive at the botton, it doesn't continue to scroll... And in the up and down scroller, I don't have the triangle to go up and down... could you tell me how to do ?

I am investigating this but I think there may be a bug here.

Okay I have found a couple bugs with this in 6.5.2. They are fixed in 6.7, which should be released within a month or so and also has some great new features.

Unfortunately it is unlikely that these fixes can be retrofitted into 6.5.x so your best bet for now is to expand the sections window as big as possible and drag sections without scrolling.
