Two questions about MIDI standard files

Postby Diego » Sat Apr 10, 2004 9:23 am

I have two questions about MIDI file exporting.

1 - Resulting file are often huge. Does Metro SE export compressed MIDI files?

2 - I imported a MIDI file into Metro SE (128 K, 121 measures, 9 tracks, type 1), deleted three empty tracks, then I exported to a Midi file again.
Metro generated an empty file! 344 bytes.
I saved all as a Metro file, closed it, reopened it, and exported it again. All worked fine, the file was 168 K.
Just for sake health, what was wrong?

If you can repeat this, then please email me the the MIDI file, or preferably the Metro file.
