Switching between presets

Can metro change between presets while playing without me manually doing it from the effects window?

Or is the solution just to adjust all the controllers required, to different settings all at the same point in the sequence?

A recent version added the ability to automate all the settings of the preset when selected. So if automation is recording you should be able to select the new preset at the correct time and have it recorded in the sequence. This may not work with all plug-ins.

Do you know any plugins that preset changing does work in?
I can't seem to get it to work.

I can adjust the settings of a plugin, such as wet, dry, modulation, reverb etc individually but I can't get a preset to change to another.

The preset will not change (unless you have program mapping on for MIDI plug-in) but all of the parameters corresponding to the preset will change during playback if recording using the record automation function.

To use record automation go to the mixer window and turn on record automation. Press play (Not record) and then select the preset. At the time you select it, all the parameters of that preset will be recorded at the time that you changed it.

Click on the MIDI cable icon in the effects window. It will only be there if the plug-in accepts MIDI.

Figured it out now thanks. I was looking in the wrong place for the result.

If you tweak a pan knob or controller inside a plugin, you can then go into the plugin view in the graphic editor and see all the parameters and the ones with data have an astrisk next to them.
I was expecting the presets to show which settings were being adjusted here, but you change a preset in the program change area.

Sorry for the confusion.

Changing to a different preset is great when using something like Slayer from http://www.refx.net/ or Plucked String from http://www.synapse-audio.com/
