Setup Problem with Output

Postby Azathoth » Sun Feb 01, 2004 11:44 am

I managed to get the Metro SE Demo inputs and outputs working correctly, but now that I've downloaded the real thing I'm having trouble doing the same with Metro SE.

I'm running Panther 10.3.2
Metro SE 6.0.8
I have a MidiSport 2x2 connected to a Yamaha S30

I set the Modify Outputs to match the MIDI setup, but the Yamaha still doesn't show up among the Output choices [Port:Internal and Built-ins]
I can record MIDI with the keyboard, but when I playback, it's through the computer.

As I say, I can still run the Metro Demo and record AND playback through the keyboard, but not with Metro itself.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Oh, and I'll add that I've downloaded/installed the most recent driver for the MidiSport.

Mike,

I would recommend using the 6.1.0.x Pre-release. It is very stable and works much better with Panther.

Login and download.

Thanks for the suggestion and the quick response on a Superbowl Sunday. At the risk of sounding truly pathetic, I can't seem to find my password for the download section. I asked for a new password to be mailed, but nothing has shown up in the mailbox.

I know that when I tried to get the name to enter to Qualify Metro, nothing ever showed up in my hotmail account. I entered my yahoo mail account and got it right away. But it looks like the hotmail account is the one that's registered.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again,

Mike,

Okay I changed your email address in our system so you should now be able to reset your password with your yahoo address. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Let us know if you're still having probs in the newer metro.

I too have a midisport 2x2 and most of my problems stemed from it rather than anything else..........though I am only running 10.2.6.

(I'll wait for your superbowl recovery......I hear it was exciting for once. :-))

Thanks for all the help, Jerm. And for the concern, Scoot. I haven't had time to play around with it much, but the inputs and outputs are working correctly with the prerelease.

And it *was* a good game for once.
