IMPORTANT: The official system requirements have changed as of 6.1.
IMPORTANT: Metro Documents written with this version will NOT be readable in any version prior to Metro/Metro SE version 6.1!
IMPORTANT: This is a pre-release, meaning it has some bug fixes (and possibly features) that were deemed important enough to be released before it could be rigorously tested.
New to this version:
• Mixing Audio Tracks when the source was 32 bit and the destination was 24 bit did not always work properly.
• Applying off-line effects to 24 bit audio tracks is now working properly.
• Viewing multiple views of the same track in the graphic editor did not work reliably. Especially when multiple controller views were active.
• Better compatibility with NI's Kontakt plug-in.
• As of Quicktime 6.4 a couple of problems with the DLS SoundFont plug-in appeared. The soundfont button would display garbage in some cases and the program names disappeared. These are now fixed.
• The transport window fully displays before plug-ins are scanned.
• Jukebox window controls could be placed at the bottom of the Jukebox window if working with a really old preferences file. This has been fixed.
• Version 1 audio units will not appear in the plug-ins list unless there are no Version 2 audio units (e.g. 10.1.5 even though it is not supported).
• Metro's popup menus look a tad bit more professional.
• Import Movie was not setting the type of the imported track correctly. This could cause the movie to disappear mysteriously. This has been corrected.
• New to 6.1.0.3 - Remote Control now allows controllers to be mapped before being passed to the next rc-event such as jog-wheel. This allows for scaling and polarity changing for the Tascam 428. Note that this adds a new complication. Controllers that are destinations of mapping are now potentially sources for events later in the list. This is a definite change in behavior but most likely a desirable one.
• Recording Audio would sometimes erroneously record volume changes from other unrelated Mixer faders. This has been corrected.
