Quicktime notes sticking

Postby Jazzdude » Sat Oct 18, 2003 7:39 am

I'm using Metro prerelease 6.1.0.2 and having trouble with the internal notes getting stuck on. Sending a command for all notes off or all sounds off does not turn the notes off.

If you are using a sustain pedal and quicktime instruments... you should send the bug report to Apple. Or perhaps they fixed it in 6.4. I haven't tested that yet. How come you are not using the DLS synth?

I recorded the data with an external synth. No sustain pedal data that I recall, but pitch wheel and modulation data are there. I haven't downloaded Quicktime 6.4 yet. I'll have to do that.

My first experiences with the DLS synth and earlier versions of Metro 6 were'nt great (crashes, etc. when loading some soundfonts). I'll have to give it another test drive.

Well that is true Jazzdude. Some soundfonts still crash the Apple DLS player but as soon as you find a good soundfont (and most are) you should be able to run crash free.
