Metro 6.0.8.1 Pre-release (no longer available)

The Metro 6.0.8.1 pre-release is available now.

IMPORTANT: Metro Documents written with version 6.0.7.x or greater will NOT be readable in any Metro/Metro SE version prior to 6.0.7!

Changes in this pre-release:

• Fixed a problem introduced in 6.0.7 that caused some MIDI interfaces (most notably MIDIMan's) under OS X to erroneously take the interface off-line. This is actually a problem with the driver. There is a new 're-scan MIDI Devices' button in the OS X version that allows USB interfaces that were recently hot-plugged to be found.

•Metro did not launch in OS X after being renamed (or copied)....fixed.

•When you had more than 99 songs the sections window was not displaying the section number correctly.

•The section window (under OS X) scrolls automatically when dragging a section now.

• In certain cases cue looping was causing problems with effects automation.

• Some AudioUnit channel/buss configurations improved.

• Aux Buss routing now set properly when opening Metro documents created before Metro 6.

• Changed the mouse scroll wheel so that it affects the pane under the mouse in the graphic editor instead of the selected pane.

6.0.8.1 docs are not openable in 6.0.7i1 either.
Created a file in 6.0.8.1 and then went to reopen it and it opened up in a demo 6.0.8 version of SE. Threw away SE and it tried to open in an old 6.0.7i1 version and failed. I suppose it was looking for metro and couldn't find the trashed 6.0.8 version so went looking for the next one available.

It would be safe to say if you're working in a newer version of metro, don't expect docs made with it to open in older versions.

At least it got me to get rid of the duplicates I had. :)
