Some way to organize plug-ins.

Metro finds the plugs-in available at startup.

Is there anyway to make them sit in user defined folders?
It would be a great way to shorten the list a lot. New folder - unused plugs, reverbs, EQ's........ 8)

Disable folder?

Postby Jerm » Sat Jun 28, 2003 10:19 am

Are you talking about the audio menu, plug-ins window or what? As you can probably see, I do not understand.

You can disable plug-ins by placing them in any folder with the word 'disable' in it. Metro will not find any plug-ins placed in a disabled folder.

For audiounits, the system does the searching and so it is not application defined.

I can envision something like the pre-OSX Extensions Manager. It finds all of your Audio Units and lets you build sets of them. It moves them back and forth between the regular folder and a "Disabled" folder depending on which set you choose. I might try writing something like that. Or maybe someone already has... let's go have a look at www.osxaudio.com.

Just a general comment, a place to start looking. I'll do some searches.
