Effect plug names displayed in the window menu....

Is there a way to tell which track has which effect?

If I use a compressor on three different tracks, it displays the name 3 times but there's no way to know which one is which.
I could put the effect on the aux bus but if they're all set differently there's no reason to do so.

compressor track 3
compressor track 7
etc.... would be good.
It would widen the menu a bit though.

Good Idea!
It doesn't have to even widen the menu much it could be...

compressor t1
compressor a1

Of course it is not as trivial as it may seem to implement because of the fact that tracks can be dragged to different track numbers.

It would be nice to avoid it becoming cryptic. You would want it to reflect changes that you make to renaming the track. "Compressor - John's Guitar" makes more sense than "Compressor T2"......and imagine coming back to it in 6 months time.

Another useful thing would be to see all the effects on tracks at once in the effects window and being able to increase or decrease the amount viewed with the small side triangle convention used to show and hide folders in the finder list views.

another thing......time for a new topic......:)
