how to set up automation

Postby hallhenry » Sat Jun 14, 2003 6:33 pm

i tried to automate a midi piece and everything is out of sync. I have no effects, just general midi, so how do i get rid of the automation I apperntly programmed, and start from scratch.
And please describe some techniques for utilizing automation, one channel at a time or doing several at once.

Thanks.....hallhenry.... :(

What kind of automation? Effect or Volume/Pan?

Have you read these links?

The automation you have done (assuming its volume and pan in the instruments window) can be viewed in the graphic editor.

Find the word NOTES in the window and click and hold down to select controller. THen select volume from the list.

The wave represents the volume at any time along the track and can be changed with the pencil tool or curves. You can select all and delete too.

What does out of sync mean?
