Section expansion and editing on the timeline. In realtime.

I'd love to edit a section as it's playing in realtime in the main section (or section which holds all other sections)
Currently, when you click on a section on the timeline it only positions the section.
It would be cool if it had a "show section" feature on that pop up window that would expand it (or take you to the section), so the user could tweak it as it's playing along with other sections or tracks.

Well I am not clear what you are asking for here. Did you try to select the subsection popup from the tracks window?

Perfect. That's exactly what I wanted. Although it would be killer if it also had it on the graphic editor.

I was just thinking this could be a shortcut. What can I say, I'm lazy.
The shortcut would be that whenever you click on a subsection on the graphic editor, it would take you straight to editing that subsection, while the main track or section is still playing.

I have an idea on how this could coexist with the current pop up window behavior on clicking the subsection.

I have a ton of UI suggestions that would make Metro a lot more flexible. I'm not sure you want to hear them all though.

I think that is a good idea and is consistent with the idea of double clicking to take you deeper. It should be changed so that option clicking brings up the subsection dialog.
