cue/hit point calculator

Postby mark scheel » Mon Mar 05, 2007 3:45 pm

feature for cues in a movie.

i ll discribe how it work in DP.

you select the markers you want take in consideration for a hitpoint in the music. then the calculation starts and spits out various possible tempos where are as many hits as possible on a predifined grid.

that means that you choose in front of the calculation if tempos are calculated for quarter notes or eight notes hits. after the calculation process you can see which marker would land on which time in varios tempos and so can pick the tempo where the most importent marker is on a downbeat.

the procedure is hard to explain i m not a native speaker
so if someone uses DP and can do a better explanation this would be helpful. this is the only feature i miss so far.
oh no wait.
could we have the possibility to create a knob which the can send sysex?
i know that one could add sysex to a fader but that seem the only chance to send a sysex command. i m talking about creating a simple environment for my keyboard.
at least METRO is capable of sending proper sysex where the DP console failed.

greetings

Ok. Thanks. I will look into this further. However it does not look very easy to implement.

I am not sure I understand this. We allow you to setup a fader to send sysex and also allow sysex directly in the tracks. What more are you looking for here?

a button

Postby mark scheel » Thu Mar 15, 2007 5:44 am

i m looking for a button which could send sysex data to my keybord
to mute the first and second timbre of a multilayered sound.

via midi its impossible to do because all the timbre are set to the same
midi channel. its the idea of creating a simple remote control for my keyboard a console or environment.

its just a thought.

best regards
