Audio track data detection

Postby Scoot » Mon May 10, 2004 6:41 am

If you change an audio track in the graphic editor to midi, metro states in a dialog the track has audio data in it and you should assign an audio output to access it.

a) why does it do this if I've just started up and the audio track is empty?

b) why does it not do the opposite if I go midi to audio?

Is the warning a relic or is it reminding the user to set outputs?

If the dialog stays maybe it should say - this track MAY contain......
I find it more annoying than anything.
can you turn it off?

If it does it is a bug.

If there is MIDI and it does not then that is also a bug.

No. It is simply stating that you probably made a mistake since you have assigned the wrong kind of output.

Only by keeping your MIDI and Audio tracks separate.
