This is only a problem for Logic Users. Metro does not use the Apple program AUVal for anything. However, if a plug-in will not load into Logic (meaning it fails AUValidation) there may be problems with it. Failing AU validation is an indication that the plug-in is not abiding by standard AU procedures and protocols.

I have heard that OS 10.4.9 screws up some plug-ins that use the PACE copy protection scheme though.
