Plug-Ins

Postby Fred » Thu Mar 27, 2003 5:58 am

In OS X there are two possible places for Plug-Ins, ie. system level (/Library/Audio/...) or user level (~/Library/Audio/...). As a single user i prefer the user level and have installed several things like Zoyd, VB-1, Sound Banks, which all work fine. Thus i assume that from Metro's view both places are equivalent. Right?

Mach-O plug-ins

Postby Jerm » Thu Mar 27, 2003 2:31 pm

Fred,

This is true. Metro searches both places for audio units, VST plug-ins and Mach-O plugins.

Important Note: The current version of Metro (6.05) does NOT :( do a depth search on Mach-O plug-ins. This means that until the next release/pre-release that all Mach-O plug-ins must not be placed within any folders in the above mentioned folders. This is fixed as 6.05i7.
