Should you be able to see levels for VSTi's and soundfonts in the mixer window when sampling them (playing the piano roll) or are they only supposed to appear on playback?
They appear on builtin audio 1 while sampling and if on the aux the meter moves there while sampling....but why not on their own fader they have been allocated?

If you're in playback of a soundfont or a vsti, the meters in the mixer work okay.
If you are not in playback (sitting idle editing) and you hit the pianoroll and hear the sound of a sampletank instrument.........should the meter (that was working on playback) register or move?
So why do they only show up on playback?
(you were asking jukehouse if he could see the VU's and the answer is no unless he hit play in the transport window).
