Are presets readable in other apps?

If a preset is saved in metro, can it be taken across to logic or DP (or wherever it is needed)?

Or do I just note all the settings and tell the other person?

(I'm beta testing a plugin and don't know what the author is running).

Au presets are interchangeable. VST presets created by Metro probably are not.
