Controllers and VSTi's

Working with an imported midi file that has controllers in it (like LSB and Breath and Expression), you can place a VSTi (like sampletank) on a track or aux and metro can crash while trying to play or selecting instruments.....it's all a bit random.

I am assuming the controllers used in the midi file are not recognised or clash with sampletank.

The workaround for me is to extract the data from the tracks and just take the notes across to a new section or compostion.

Is there a quick way to wipe all the controller settings from all tracks or get metro to ignore them and leave them there?

Please email me the file that causes the crash.

To extract controllers, the easiest two ways to do that is:

1. Use the extract data command, select cut and all controllers and ok. Or
2. Use the event editor and option click on filter and select controlers. This selects filter all but controllers. Then select "specify controllers" from the filter menu and select the controllers you are interested in.

Note that method 2 only works on a single track at a time.
