Changing midi channel remotely

Postby MP » Wed Dec 28, 2005 7:40 pm

Hi All,

I have a Metro project with softsynths setup to respond to their own midi channel. The idea is to switch between them by changing the midi transmit channel on my controller. However, my Oxygen 8 keyboard requires a multistep process just to change to midi channel - making fast changes nearly impossible.

Does anyone know of a way to remotely change the transmit channel of a midi stream? Maybe a utility that can change the midi channel via continuous controllers (I found one, controlAid, but it's too buggy to use)? Can this be done with Metro's remote control? Anyone looking to purchase a smashed-up Oxygen 8?
