Exported MIDI files not seen by PC MIDI apps

Postby RichieM » Fri May 20, 2005 9:45 pm

When I export a MIDI file from the Mac OSX version of Metro SE 6.3 as either a type O or type 1 and try to open it in a MIDI app on my WinXP box, I get an error that says "unknown file type", and another Win app says "Does not contain a MThd. Not a MIDI file!"

How do I export MIDI files that will work on PCs?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I figured it out -- it's because I'm a Mac user. I was trying to open the wrong file on the flash drive using the PC -- it must have been the resource fork!
