I see IK Multimedia is offering a free limited version of Sampletank with some free sounds and also tutorials to get you started.

Yes, download/install/use it, it's FREE albeit it's limited to the voices they provide for free.


A couple of voices they give you are rather useless although funny like the "oh,baby" voice.


Obviously its a promotional glorified "demo" version to encourage you to buy the full version.

could someone explain me how to install the full version ?
and how does it work ( or not ) with metro ?

Put in the CD and run the installer.

Sampletank appears in the plugins window and needs to be dragged into the effects/mixer window.

Click on the EDIT button in the effects window of sampletank.

If you don't see your instruments you click on the PREFS button and set the ROOT to the folder that stores the instruments.
