grouping two mono waves question

Postby mark scheel » Mon Jun 25, 2007 11:27 am

hello

i m trying to get a mixdown done. after importing to mono waves into
metro i grouped them together and panned them L and R.

now when i automate the mix volume changes are recorded on both tracks

but when i edit the volume curves with the mouse only the selected track
is changed. the volume curve on the other track is still the same.

i obviously want to change both tracks at once.

how can i achieve this

greetings

If I understand correctly there are probably several ways to do it.

Once you have the panning correct why not mix them together and then they will be on a single stereo track. From there you can control the volume in one window.

thank you for the prompt reply jeremy

is there a function to do this offline?

its a two hour live concert stereo overhead drum track.

and i would have to do the same with the keyboard stereo sound as well.

To mix two mono audio tracks simply select both tracks for the amount of time you want them mixed, either in the graphic editor or the tracks window, and then select 'Mix or Render Audio tracks' from the file menu.
